Cardiac First Response -Advanced (CFR-A)

1 Day Course

Course Aim:

To equip trainees with the ability to recognise and treat immediately life-threatening conditions such as Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest, Stroke or Choking.

Course Structure:

The course is run over 1 day and utilises the very latest technology to maximise student learning. The emphasis is on learning the practical skills needed.

Course Tutors:

Our instructors are experienced registered professional PHECC Practitioners.

Course Content:

  • Early warning signs of Heart Attack.
  • Patient Care Reporting.
  • Basic principles of medication administration.
  • Recognition of Sudden Cardiac Death.
  • The Chain of Survival.
  • Safe use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Adult -Child & Infant.
  • Recognition of Stroke.
  • FAST assessment of stroke patients.
  • Choking (FBAO) Adult Child & Infant.
  • Airway Management, including Advanced Airway Adjuncts.
  • Oral Suctioning.
  • BVM use.
  • Oxygen Therapy.

Certification

Participants will receive a PHECC CFR (A) certificate valid for 2 years.
