Cardiac First Response -Advanced (CFR-A)
1 Day Course
Course Aim:
To equip trainees with the ability to recognise and treat immediately life-threatening conditions such as Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest, Stroke or Choking.
Course Structure:
The course is run over 1 day and utilises the very latest technology to maximise student learning. The emphasis is on learning the practical skills needed.

Our instructors are experienced registered professional PHECC Practitioners.
Course Content:
- Early warning signs of Heart Attack.
- Patient Care Reporting.
- Basic principles of medication administration.
- Recognition of Sudden Cardiac Death.
- The Chain of Survival.
- Safe use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Adult -Child & Infant.
- Recognition of Stroke.
- FAST assessment of stroke patients.
- Choking (FBAO) Adult Child & Infant.
- Airway Management, including Advanced Airway Adjuncts.
- Oral Suctioning.
- BVM use.
- Oxygen Therapy.
Certification
Participants will receive a PHECC CFR (A) certificate valid for 2 years.
