Vehicle Walk Around Check Training
1/2 Day or 1 Day Course
The Vehicle Walk Around Check Training course has been devised to give an awareness to each participant of their legislative obligations as vehicle drivers.
Programme Duration:
1/2 Day to Full Day ( this includes a practical with one of your vehicles)
Class size: Up to 12 persons per session, course is delivered at our premises or can be delivered at your site/location.
Who Should Attend?
All truck drivers and any person responsible for assisting drivers whilst manoeuvring their vehicle before loading / unloading e.g. Refuse truck assistants.

Course Content:
- Legislative & Moral Requirements for Drivers.
- Driver Daily Walk Around Reports and Inspections and Completion of Same.
- Damage/Defect Identification/ Reporting/Actions.
- Critical Safety Issues arising and how to best deal with them.
- Driver Walk Around Check Practical & Assessment
- Vehicle Maintenance Programmes and how to get the best from them.
- Client Tailored or specific needs.
Learning Outcomes
- On completion of the course participants will be:
- Aware of employers and employees responsibilities in relation to safety.
- Familiar with what Protection Personal Equipment (PPE) to be used for Personal Safety.
- Able to identify the hazards and risks of being a Banksman Operator.
- Able to identify potential danger areas within your site.
- Able to demonstrate hand signals / safe standing positions.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive an ASL Certificate of attendance.
